Team USA Wins Bronze in 2013 Men World Championship

May 19, 2013

STOCKHOLM – The US men’s national team won the bronze medal in the IIHF World Championship with a 3-2 shootout win over Finland on Sunday. The three youngest players on USA Men’s National Team are IntelliGym graduates: Goaltender John Gibson, defenseman Jacob Trouba, and defenseman Justin Faulk. Gibson was one of the game heroes with 36 saves propelling Team USA to its first medal since 2004. Trouba added an assist in the first period.

Science & Research

The technology implemented in the Hockey IntelliGym™ is the same as originally used for fighter pilots in the air force and the Basketball IntelliGym™.
The first teams to use the Hockey IntelliGym™ were the U-17 and U-18 National Teams of the National Team Development Program (NTDP) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The final product will be available for the entire ice-hockey community in the winter of 2010. Built with personalization mechanism, the Hockey IntelliGym™ adopts to the strengths and weaknesses of each and every player, to guarantee the most effective training experience.
