USA Rolls Past Russia 8-3 in WC Quarterfinals

HELSINKI – The three youngest players on USA Men’s National Team, which has advanced to the semifinals of the IIHF Men's World Championships with an 8-3 quarterfinals win over Russia, are IntelliGym graduates: Goaltender John Gibson won his third game in as many starts by making 31 saves, defenseman Jacob Trouba scored one goal, and defenseman Justin Faulk completes the young trio.

 

USA U18 Earns Silver at the 2013 IIHF World Championship

SOCHI, Russia - Despite a 35-12 shots-on-goal advantage, the U.S. Men's National Under-18 Team fell to Canada by a 3-2 count on Apr. 28 at the Bolshoy Ice Dome in the gold-medal game at the 2013 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship. The team was the first to adopt the Hockey IntelliGym as part of its training regimen five years ago. Since then they have participated in every final match of the Championship, winning 4 gold medals, and one silver.

 

USA Beats Sweden 3-1 to Win Gold at the 2013 World Junior Hockey

USA Hockey and Applied Cognitive Engineering congratulate the U.S. National Junior Team on winning the gold at the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship in Ufa, Russia. In total, thirteen US players, including ten who have been drafted by NHL teams, have used the Hockey IntelliGym. These include: John Gibson, Seth Jones, Jake McCabe, Connor Murphy, Patrick Sieloff, Jacob Trouba, Riley Barber, Cole Bardreau, Tyler Biggs, Rocco Grimaldi, Ryan Hartman, J.T. Miller, and Blake Pietila.

   

USA U17 and U18 Win Gold at the 2012 4 Nations Cup

USA Hockey and Applied Cognitive Engineering congratulate the USA U17 and U18 National Teams, for winning the 2012 Four Nations Cup (in Switzerland and Ann Arbor Michigan respectively). This brings the teams, since adopting the Hockey IntelliGym four years ago, to 75% success in international tournaments. That's 15 gold medals out of 20 tournaments, including capturing four consecutive IIHF U18 world titles.

 

IntelliGym Alumni Picked at the 2012 NHL Draft

As has often been the case in recent years IntelliGym Alumni made a strong showing at the 2012 NHL Draft. Ten current members of the NTDP, along with two NTDP alumni now playing college hockey, heard their names called this weekend at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. Leading the way were three first-round selections on Friday evening. Jacob Trouba, Brady Skjei, and Stefan Matteau. Congratulations!
